Romyzian Garden

One Man’s Love Became
a Healing Forest.
A Garden Blossomed with
the Wisdom of Life

Welcome to Romyzian Garden, where love has blossomed into a forest.
One man’s deep love has become a healing forest embracing a weary world.

Nestled on the mountainside of Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, at an elevation of 550
meters, Romyzian Garden is far more than a tourist destination.
For 16 years, this place was lovingly created for a beloved wife — a heartfelt tribute
to life and a forest of self-reflection where visitors may rediscover themselves.

Romy and Jian — A Miracle Created by Two Hearts

As they witnessed the wife, who had suffered from bronchial asthma,
gradually regain her health through the fresh air and warm sunlight of this place,
the couple began shaping the forest into a sanctuary for all who seek love, rest, and recovery.
After 16 years of devotion, this vast landscape of over 330,000 square meters has blossomed
into a certified “Healing Forest” recognized by the Korea Forest Service.

Theme 2
A Walk to Meet Your Deeper Self

This path is a journey where you encounter your true self.
A quiet walk becomes a moment to ask yourself:
“Who am I, and how have I lived my life?”
Each sculpture reflects a story hidden within you.
Pause the pace of your busy life for a moment and listen closely to the voice within.

  • Ari Stone Gate

The name “Ari Stone Gate” comes from “Ari,” the opening sound of Arirang.
Founder Jian interpreted “Ari” as “the joy of discovering one’s true self.”
As you pass through the gate, ring the bell three times.
It marks the beginning of a deep resonance within your soul.
Passing briefly through the Paleozoic limestone tunnel,
visitors often feel a profound sense of reflection and stillness.

  • Arari Tower

At the heart of Romyzian Garden, where the blue spirit
of Jeongseon lingers, stands Arari Tower — a modern artistic interpretation of Jeongseon Arirang, the soul of the region.
During the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, Romy and Jian carried the ceremonial flame from Arari Tower up to Gashibeosi Castle.
The tower was raised high as a heartfelt wish for the success
    and glory of Korea’s athletes.
Beyond its grand appearance, the true spirit of Arari Tower
lies in the philosophy engraved in four languages around it:
“The joy of finding one’s true self.”
Within the embrace of Arari Tower, where nature and earth breathe together, may you discover the true meaning reflected in your life.

  • Prana Tower
“There is no elevator on the path toward life’s goals.”

Founder Son Jin-ik believed that the journey toward becoming our ideal
selves is like climbing a staircase — achieved only through steady effort, one step at a time.
The pyramid-shaped Prana Tower symbolizes that very journey.
There may be moments of hardship and failure, but by overcoming them and
continuing forward, we eventually reach the highest place.
Prana Tower is a meditative space that invites you to ask yourself:
“Where am I now on my journey?”

  • The Sword of Self-Reflection

The hardest opponent to overcome is oneself.
Stand before the Sword of Self-Reflection and look deeply into your heart.
Only when we discipline ourselves with unwavering determination
do we truly become the masters of our lives.
Feel the peace that blooms after profound self-reflection.

“The hardest task in the world is mastering oneself.
Discipline yourself as though placing a sword upon your own heart.”
  • The Red Magnetic Hill

This hill was created using red magnetic clay discovered
during the construction of the garden.
The spiral pathway climbing the hill symbolizes the cycle of life and inner growth.
At the summit, you will find a treasure chest.
Inside is engraved a message answering the question:
“How should I live my life?”
Climb the hill while carrying your own questions within your heart.
